Saving Indonesia’s Tropical Forests | Environment | The News Hub

Articles such as this make me want to weep with horror and frustration. And then vomit. What are we doing still cutting down entire swathes of pristine, highly diverse forests anywhere in the world? Why are we allowing pathetic, profit-blinded scumbags to drive this force of irreversible destruction with the short-sighted motive of greed and more greed? When ancient forests are gone, they’re gone! And every unique animal, plant and fungus that lived within them is gone too. These are heinous, sickening crimes being committed in the name of profit. We won’t survive long on bits of printed paper when all the forests have gone, rivers have become polluted by industry and genetic diversity has gone out of the window. How do we stop this destruction now?
