After 60 million years of extreme living, seabirds are crashing | Environment | The Guardian

Nice job, humans… *slow clap*

Over the last 60 years, seabird populations have crashed. Something is “amiss” in our oceans? Yes, that would be the absolutely horrific levels of over-fishing throughout the world’s oceans, the decimation of predator populations (and resulting collapse of ecosystems) and the violent dredging/destruction of ocean and coastal habitats. In fact, the list of entirely human-made contributing factors towards all struggling wildlife populations goes on and on.

It is incredibly and increasingly depressing. Drastic change is needed for us to haul back wildlife populations. The biggest action we can ALL take today is to GO VEGAN! A non-vegan environmentalist is an oxymoron!
