There is just no need to live export. If you can’t control the environment in which they’re slaughtered at the other end, or the suffering they endure on the journey, then you have no business or right sending them off into the unknown at the start. NO farmer can ever claim they care about their animals while they’re happy to send those same animals into unknown suffering and death. It just becomes about money – no ethics or humanity involved whatsoever.
